right now. My work gets me involved a lot with the U.N. and the

Government. Right now they are all on alert and no movement, this

I'm 83 1/4 years. In good(?) health. My wife of 50 1/2
years is on dialysis 3 times per week, so my time is totally devoted to
her care. It is possible to make a 2007 reunion in S.D., only
health & time holds me up.

Years - This Sabalo sailor is preparing to retire. The travails
of working have finally wearied the body and mind to a point of overall
numbness. Retirement will happen in January 2007. It will
be good! The
ole "Golden Parachut" has a tinge of "bilious green", nevertheless, it
has been worth it. Especially the U.S. Navy part of it.

My sincere apologies for the delay in responding (was on a trip to
Hawaii and passing through San Diego when you sent this). I don't
recall receiving the mailed invitation, but I appreciate all of the
hard work you are putting into the reunion. Regretfully, I won't be
able to attend, though I had hoped to do so. I will, however, be
on the Alaska cruise in September and hope there will be an opportunity
to get together with attending Sabalo-mates. My regards and best
wishes to shipmates from the 62-63 era. Hope there will be
another reunion and will definitely plan to be there.
